A Christmas Special: Miraculous: Tales of Lady Bug and Cat Noir #25XmasMovies

For those unfamiliar with the Miraculous series, this awkward girl is secretly a superhero named Lady Bug, and this angsty boy is secretly Cat Noir.  They know each other in real life, and as superheroes, but not that each other is a superhero – also they’re in French and in Paris.

NETFLIX DESCRIPTION:  Parisian teen Marinette transforms herself into superhero Ladybug to find her lonely secret crush Adrien when he runs away from home at Christmas.

This is Adrien’s (Cat Noir) first Christmas since his mom died.  After an angry musical number Adrian helps a Santa that is being picked on.  Meanwhile Marinette finds out that Adrien is missing, they suspect he has been kidnapped (his father is very high-profile) and she (as Lady Bug) goes looking for him.  She finds him and way over-reacts to the Santa.  But then Hawk Moth (the “big bad” of the series, also the secret supervillain identity of Adrien’s father, it’s complicated) mind-controls the Santa and things escalate quickly.

It’s a fun show if you like the series with some decent musical numbers and pretty good CG animation.
