Wedding Anniversary: 2

I have successfully completed my second year of being married to my loving wife Karah.  Now, I’m not going to be dispersing advice, since I’ve done a pretty bad job of being a husband quite a few times, but I am going to make a couple of statements on things I have learned:

1.  We are called to love, not be in love; so even when I’m not 100% happy I have to do the right thing and put God first, her second, and myself last.

2.  She can cook better than she thinks she can.

3.  I have to remember to compliment her on more than just her looks.

4.  She’s not into trippy movies.

Thanks Karah for being my wife!

  • For a young man, you are blessed to have such wisdom. I too am blessed with the most awesome wife a man could ask for. I am blessed to know you as you have so much potential that is ahead of you. Keeping your priorities in tact will assure that you make the most of this life on earth. I have attempted to do things as a “captain of the world,” putting self first, and your recipe is proven to be the best from my experiences. I am sitting in a hospital room, celebrating with my mom and dad who have been married for 61+ years. They have a relationship that is full of love, passion, and age is just a number. They have the same recipe as you, and it has taken me a long time to see that it is the WAY.
