A Telling Conversation

This is a Facebook conversation I recently had with my aunt Lisa.

Kyle Souza:
Future of Innovation: Can America Keep-Up? http://t.co/pJR9TK6 America Invents Act = no creativity = only large companies will get patents

Lisa Cunningham-Gibson:
The Republicans have given the top 1 million dollars over the last 10 years, the Bush Tax Cuts, which the rich have invested here in the US…according to Republicans, despite there being 0% gain in capital investments during the same period…THAT IS THE AMERICAN INVESTS ACT

Kyle Souza:
I am talking about the America Invents Act, which changes the current patent system to a “first-to-file”, currently we are a “first-go-invent” (as it should be). This is a bill that has passed the Senate and is in the House. It is supported by Obama, most Democrats, and many Republicans.

Kyle Souza:
Also, the Democrats had not only a majority the first two years of Obama’s presidency, but a super majority and could have passed any reform they wanted without Republican consent, if they actually cared and wanted change. Republicans did not have a super majority when the Bush tax cuts were enacted, which means that at least some Democrats voted for them. You seem to hate Republicans, but never denounce or rant against the Democrats that have voted for each piece of legislation you are against and refused each one you wanted. A single party is not responsible for the state of our nation. And all the same can be said to conservatives who condemn Democrats while believing that Republicans have no fault.

Kyle Souza:
?*first-to-invent

Lisa Cunningham-Gibson:
Dems are afraid of how Repubs make them look in ads…  What was it the Repubs did when they had the total control of the Gov’t? oh yeah, two wars they did not pay for, went Iraq just cause they wanted to, an unpaid Rx plan the took most people that had coverage from private insurance and put them on the gov’t, again not paid for and they tried something called Volunteer Regulating…which lead to 27.3 Trillion in losses…

Kyle Souza:
The wars were voted for by both sides, unlike the current ops in Libya. The FACT/TRUTH, is that unlike Democrats, the Republicans did not have a super majority during the Bush years, thus all action required at least some support from Democrats. The Democrats had everything they needed for two years to get stuff done, and they did very little but complain and stall. If they are so afraid of how the other party will make them look in political ads that they refuse to do their jobs properly then they do not deserve to hold office and NEED to be replaced with people who will do the right thing, even if people call them bad names.

Yes, we covered a lot of topics.
